Rochelle Easton Esposito
Rochelle Easton Esposito received a B.S. from Brooklyn College in
1962 and a Ph.D. from the University of Washington in 1967 under
the guidance of Herschel Roman. She was treasurer and president
of the GSA, founded the National Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology
Committee, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology
and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She has been on the
faculty at The University of Chicago since 1969 where she chaired
the Committee of Genetics for many years and is currently a Professor
in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology. Her research
interests are in the genetic mechanisms controlling meiotic development.

Iris Sandler
Iris Sandler received a B.A. from Brooklyn College in 1954 and an
M.A. in genetics from the University of Missouri in 1956. In 1979,
she received a Ph.D. from the University of Washington, specializing
in the history of science. From 1991 to 2002, as a member of the
auxiliary faculty of the Department of Genetics at the University
of Washington, she taught the history of genetics.

Aaron Stadler & Fat Cat Vdo
Aaron Stadler has been in video production for over 20 years, including
18 years of broadcast television experience. In 2000, Aaron left
the CBS affiliate in Seattle to start his own production company,
Fat Cat Vdo. Primarily a photographer, he also has credits in producing
and editing. Winner of three Emmy awards and numerous regional awards,
he specializes in documentary production, news and sports coverage.
Aaron shares a special interest in genetics with family members
among whom are several prominent geneticists including Louis J.
Stadler, David Stadler, and Frank Stahl.

Elaine Strass
Elaine Strass, after graduating summa cum laude from the University
of Illinois with a Bachelor of Music degree in 1965, pursued a career
in Washington, DC, as a musician until 1980. She began her career
as an association professional at that time with the Society for
Neuroscience in Washington, DC, and was hired by The Genetics Society
of America and The American Society of Human Genetics in 1988. She
became executive director of the two societies in January 1992.

Jennifer Stortz
Jennifer Stortz received a B.A. from Wittenberg University concentrating
in graphic design in 1994 and a post-baccalaureate Studio Certificate
in Visual Communications from The School of the Art Institute of
Chicago in 1995. She worked at a number of prominent design firms
in Chicago including the Grillo Group, Inc., Paragraphs Design and
Pivot Design. Her work has appeared in publications of the Alzheimer’s
Association, the American Medical Association, Children’s
Memorial Hospital and the University of Chicago. A member of the
American Institute of Graphic Arts, she is currently a freelance
designer.
